Mr. Frank Ning and His Delegation Visited Youjia Plant
During May 19-24, Mr. Frank Ning, Chairman of Sinochem Group (Sinochem) and Chairman of China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. (ChemChina), led the leadership of these two companies on a business trip to Jiangsu. This is the first time for the leadership of the two companies jointly visiting subsidiaries, aiming to propel innovation, cooperation and development.
During the six-day trip, Mr. Frank Ning and his delegation visited more than ten companies, including Sinochem International Fine Chemical Circular Economy Industrial Park in Lianyungang, a subsidiary under Sinochem Group’s SBU; Jiangsu Youjia Plant Protection Company Ltd., Huai’an-based Junsheng New Energy Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd., as well as Bluestar Adisseo (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery & Automation Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Huaihe Chemicals Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Anpon Electrochemical Co., Ltd., Adama (China), Bluestar Lehigh Engineering Institute Co., Ltd., Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material Co., Ltd., Syngenta Nantong Plant. During the visit, Mr. Frank Ning met with Mr. Yao Xiaodong, Secretary of the Huai’an Municipal Party Committee; Mr. Xiang Xuelong, Secretary of the Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee; Mr. Xu Huimin, Mayor of Nantong along with other municipal leaders, and had full discussion on Sinochem and ChemChina’s strategic expansion and business development in Jiangsu and further cooperation with municipal government.
In Sinochem Chemical Circular Economy Industrial Park in Lianyungang, Mr. Frank Ning emphasized that Sinochem and ChemChina’s cooperation is the endogenous demand for synergized development of business. The Sinochem International Fine Chemical Circular Economy Industrial Park in Lianyungang is the first strategic project under Sinochem and ChemChina’s cooperation initiative. It is also an exceptionally significant first step to testify whether these two companies can make great strides towards collective development in industrial parks in the years ahead. Mr. Frank Ning asked the team to, first, innovate products, making them technically superior; second, be fully dedicated to the park, studying, planning and acting.
In Youjia Plant, affiliated to Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Frank Ning and his delegation listened to the debriefing of the agrochemical business sector. He affirmed the conduct and management of the plant, believed the Youjia Plant could be benchmarked as “best practice”, and expected to promote the “Baozhuo” Model to a larger scope covering more internal departments and enterprises, i.e., product should both generate profit, resolve social problems and help farmers increase income. Mr. Frank Ning pointed out that enterprises should also look for more internal “best practices” from the perspective of innovation, safety, synergy and transformational development.
Besides, during the visit, Mr. Frank Ning was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Jiangsu Development Summit and the Jiangsu Development Forum.

The visit was fruitful despite a tight schedule. As to outcomes, Mr. Frank Ning emphasized that practice has proved that inter-company communication is effective and positive for corporate management. An enterprise with a single business is more focused and competitive, as it could be meticulous and thorough. However, for a large and diversified enterprise, communication is critical for management. This visit per se was effective communication, establishing channel for mutual inspiration and mutual help between companies, and would be conducive to future work. He believed as long as a synergized working mentality, mechanism and atmosphere is well placed and practiced, Sinochem and ChemChina’s cooperation will surely catalyze more fruits and achieve breakthroughs in business, enterprise or even industry, leveraging new technologies, models and strategies.
