China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), China Post Group and Sinochem Holdings jointly hosted a video conference in Beijing on Dec. 8, in a bid to promote the high-quality development of new types of agricultural businesses.
The conference stressed that more efforts are needed to strengthen the link and cooperation between firms and new types of agricultural businesses, such as farmers' cooperatives and family farms, and to boost the high-quality development of the new types of agricultural businesses in order to lay a solid foundation for the realization of rural revitalization and the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
Speaking at the conference, Frank Ning, chairman of Sinochem Holdings, noted that the establishment of Syngenta Group after the asset restructuring in early 2020 has empowered Sinochem Holdings with new service concepts and advanced technologies, which transformed it from an agricultural product supplier to a service platform with comprehensive solutions to agricultural development.
In cooperation with new types of agricultural businesses, the platform is dedicated to making cutting-edge agricultural technologies accessible to Chinese farmers, and assisting them in developing more high-quality agricultural products.
He added that Sinochem Holdings will work closely with the MARA in implementing the relevant plans, taking strategic and cooperative measures to promote the high-quality development of new types of agricultural businesses, and strive to contribute to the realization of rural revitalization.
The video conference was attended by Tang Renjian, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Liu Aili, chairman of China Post.
