Three major international credit rating agencies, S&P, Fitch and Moody's, announced on March 3 the first rating results of Syngenta Group — BBB+/A/Baa1, with outlooks of "stable".
Fitch believes that Syngenta Group is the core platform for Sinochem Holdings' life sciences business segment and that the Group is highly integrated with Sinochem Holdings' organization structure at the management and operational levels. S&P highly recognizes Syngenta Group's rich and leading product portfolio and strong R&D capabilities in plant protection and seeds, which make Syngenta a core platform for Sinochem Holdings to upgrade the country's agricultural industry. Moody's judges that China will become the most strategic market for Syngenta Group in the future, and that the company's strong R&D capabilities and extensive product lines will support Syngenta's long-term growth in China.
This is the "debut" of Syngenta Group in the capital market since the completion of its restructuring in June 2020. The high investment-grade rating of the Group fully demonstrates the three major international rating agencies’ high recognition of the strategic role of Syngenta in maintaining global food security and upgrading the agricultural industry, as well as its leading position in the global agricultural sector.
