During the 5th CIIE, Syngenta Group actively participated in the exhibition and signed a series of cooperation agreements with several partners, achieving fruitful results.
On November 6, Syngenta Group was invited to participate in the signing ceremony for the import of soybeans of China Grain Reserves Corporation (Sinograin). Yang Shihao, Vice President and Member of the Leading Party Group of Sinochem Holdings, attended the ceremony as witness.
During the CIIE, Syngenta’s global agricultural value chain department signed a framework agreement on the intentional cooperation of agricultural products with a total value of more than 500 million US dollars with various international and Chinese well-known grain, oil and food processing and trading companies, including Sinograin. Syngenta’s global agricultural value chain is an extension of its traditional agricultural input business. Leveraging Syngenta Group’s global resources in planting and close ties with farmers in production end, and via barter trade, so as to ensure stable supply of high-quality agricultural products to China .
In addition, Syngenta Group also signed a memorandum of cooperation on comprehensive strategic financial services with Standard Chartered (China). Standard Chartered will leverage its global network layout and professional edges to provide all-round financial support for Syngenta Group’s global industrial chain layout and innovation.
