On November 21, the propane/propylene separation tower of Zhongjing Petrochemical’s propane dehydrogenation (PDH) project involved by Tianhua Institute was successfully hoisted, laying a solid foundation for the mid-term delivery next year.
Zhongjing Petrochemical’s PDH project with an annual output of 1 million tons has a total investment of 4 billion yuan. Tianhua Institute manufactured the propane/propylene separation tower, the core equipment of the project. The height of the tower is 138 meters, the weight including tower internals is 3,400 tons, and the volume is 11,000 cubic meters. Its height and volume are the highest in the world for this type of separation tower.
