The groundbreaking ceremony of Sinochem Lantian's project with annual capacities of 19,000-ton VDF, 15,000-ton PVDF and 36,000-ton HCFC-142b raw material started at its Shangyu base on September 22. It marked the company had entered the threshold of 10,000-ton level in terms of PVDF resin production. The completed project is estimated to add over 3-billion-yuan sales revenue to Sinochem Lantian every year.
As a high-performance fluoropolymer, PVDF is mainly applied in downstream fields such lithium power battery, environmental protection, construction, chemical industry and medical care. The project constitutes an important part of Sinochem Holdings' efforts to build a production base and innovation center of fluorine-containing polymer materials and fluorine-containing fine chemicals.
