After two years of preparation and construction, the Adisseo China R&D and Innovation Center was recently put into successful trial operation. It is committed to taking R&D and innovation to the next level in the technical fields of methionine and its by-products, the development of specialty products and bioproducts, feed nutrition and application services and local innovative cooperation and incubation.
As one of the eight global Adisseo R&D centers, the Adisseo China R&D and Innovation Center is an important part of the Animal Nutrition Research Center under the Central Research Institute of Sinochem Holdings. With a total area of 3,300 square meters, it has a lab area of 2,200 square meters that meets the highest industry standards and a well-designed office area of 1,100 square meters.
In terms of building up the human resources capacity, the center has attracted high-caliber technical personnel from around the world, among which more than 50% have a postgraduate degree. It will continue to expand to satisfy business strategy needs.
In the process of advancing local R&D services, the center focuses on value creation and promotes the high-quality development of China’s feed & food industry. At present, the center is cooperating with a number of universities and institutes including China Agricultural University, South China Agricultural University and Shanghai Cow Research Institute to conduct scientific research on monogastric animal nutrition, new biological testing technology and ruminant nutrition.
In the future, the center will not only serve the Chinese market, but also focus on Asia and develop long-term cooperation with more global partners in relevant fields.
