On May 21st, Adisseo participated in the 3rd Jiangsu Development Summit’s “Jinling Hometown Journey” High-quality Development Meeting in Nanjing. Fabien Siguier, Deputy General Manager and Executive Vice-President of Human Resources of Adisseo, delivered a speech at the meeting.
In his speech, Fabien Siguier introduced Adisseo’s development achievements in Nanjing over the past 14 years. In 2009, Adisseo first introduced the technology for producing methionine to China and invested in the construction of China’s first liquid methionine plant in Nanjing’s Jiangbei New Area, filling the gap in the domestic production of methionine. In order to further expand its production capacity advantage, in 2022, Adisseo’s second-phase project of the Nanjing plant, with an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons of liquid methionine, was officially put into operation. The methionine production capacity of its Nanjing plant has reached 350,000 tons per year, making it the single plant with the most significant liquid methionine capacity in the world. Adisseo’s China R&D Innovation Center, located in Nanjing, is one of the eight major R&D centers in the global layout of Adisseo and has been put into trial operation in 2022.
Fabien Siguier stated that with the dual drive of the Nanjing plant and R&D innovation center, Nanjing will become a large-scale comprehensive operation base for Adisseo, integrating production supply, R&D innovation, and other functions. It will also become the birthplace of Adisseo’s Asian market “innovation engine” and “business booster”.
